While creating photorealistic sets in 3D can be fun and a great way “access” locations you would otherwise be unable to shoot in (think mummy’s tomb) nothing beats working with a real set. Just as with “HELLO, JOHNNY…”, for this shot we elected to design and build the simple flat that would serve as our set.
Once the set is designed on paper, and using our mood boards for reference, we begin construction of our virtual set.
